Dr. Shawn M Bader

Dr. Bader graduated from the University of Toronto in 1988 with Bachelors in Science. He then attended the dental school at the University of Toronto and graduated with honors in 1992. Dr. Bader received the following awards while at dental school: International College of Dentists (Canadian Section) Scholarship, Omicron Kappa Upsilon inductee, Dental Student Society Award and the Alpha Omega Undergraduate Scholarship Award.

Dr. Bader practiced general dentistry privately from 1992-1997 and also worked as a part time clinical and lecture instructor for the St. Clair College dental hygiene program.

Dr. Bader returned to school at the University of Kentucky in 1997 to specialize in Orthodontics. In 2000 he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science. Dr. Bader received several awards for his research at Kentucky. These included: the University of Kentucky Graduate School Student Research Award, Southern Association of Orthodontics Research Grant Award and the University of Kentucky Commonwealth Research Award.

In 2001 Dr. Bader was given national recognition by the American Association of Orthodontists when he received the Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit at the annual meeting. In 2005 and 2008 Dr. Bader was recognized as one of Phoenix’s top orthodontists in Phoenix Magazine.

Dr. Bader and family

Dr. Bader has been married to Sharon since 1992. They have two sons, Jaedon & Troy. Sharon is a general dentist who graduated from University of Michigan and is in private practice in Peoria, Arizona. The family are active members of Har Zion Synagogue. Jaedon presently enjoys many different sporting activities.

Away from the office, Dr. Bader enjoys playing golf and coaching and watching his son’s sports: hockey, baseball and golf.
