Dr. Shawn M. Bader, a highly skilled orthodontist, serves as the esteemed team leader at our practice. With an impressive array of qualifications and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional care, Dr. Bader is passionate about transforming smiles and lives.

Dr. Bader’s journey began at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS degree. However, it was during his time in private practice and dental school that he discovered his true passion for orthodontics. Recognizing the profound impact of creating beautiful smiles, he knew that he wanted to dedicate his career to this specialized field. Following his calling, Dr. Bader patiently waited five years after earning his DDS degree before embarking on his orthodontic dreams. He pursued a Master’s degree and Orthodontics Certificate at the University of Kentucky, Faculty of Dentistry in Lexington, KY.

As a testament to his commitment to excellence, Dr. Bader is a board-certified orthodontist, recognized by the American Board of Orthodontics. He is an esteemed member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the Arizona Orthodontic Study Club, constantly staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field to provide the best possible care to his patients.

Dr. Bader’s treatment approach is characterized by a personable and caring manner. Working primarily with children and young individuals, he treats each patient with respect, recognizing their unique qualities and treating them as small adults. Drawing upon his experience coaching sports and being a father to his two boys, he applies a familiar and nurturing style to his interactions with patients. Dr. Bader believes that everyone deserves the highest level of care and a positive patient experience.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Bader treasures his time with his wife, Sharon, and their two boys, Jaedon and Troy. While Jaedon follows his dreams of playing college baseball at North Park University, Troy enjoys a wide range of activities, from club baseball to playing musical instruments and coding video games. Dr. Bader’s dedication extends to his community as he volunteers at Beth Tifilah Congregation and remains active in his ongoing professional development. He has served as the president of the Arizona Orthodontic Study Group and runs a Spears Study club, consistently refining his skills and knowledge.

Dr. Bader and his family are proud members of Congregation Beth Tefillah in Scottsdale. His philosophy is rooted in treating every patient as if they were family members, ensuring that the best interests and well-being of each individual are prioritized.

Meet Marisa, the rockstar Team Leader at Faces Orthodontics. She began her journey with us back in 2010 as an Orthodontic Assistant and has since conquered various roles, including Scheduling Coordinator, Treatment Coordinator, and now, Financial Coordinator. Marisa truly is a jack of all trades, bringing her versatile expertise to our team.

With an unwavering passion for her work, Marisa thrives on being a vital part of the Faces Team, dedicated to helping our patients achieve their superstar smiles. She’s the guiding force behind the scenes, ensuring that every aspect of your orthodontic journey is seamless and enjoyable.

Originally from the sunny state of California, Marisa has called Arizona home since 2000. When she’s not busy making smiles shine, she’s a devoted mom to her four wild kiddos, Sophia, Aubriella, Charlotte, and Brody, and a loving wife to her wonderful husband, Kenny. Family is at the heart of everything she does.

Outside of her roles as a supermom and a valued team member, Marisa has two other great loves: Target (because who doesn’t love a good shopping spree?) and baseball. Let’s go Dodgers! Her infectious enthusiasm extends beyond the dental office, making her a true joy to work with.

Meet Stacy, a valued member of the Faces Orthodontics team since 2011. With an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting, Stacy always knew she wanted to work in orthodontics.

As a former orthodontic patient herself, she wanted to provide others with an enjoyable experience. After years as an assistant, Stacy now serves as the Treatment Coordinator, helping people achieve smiles they’ll love for a lifetime.

An Arizona native, Stacy loves traveling, especially to the beach. When she’s not working, you’ll find her outdoors, whether by the pool or hiking. Family, friends, and cooking comfort food bring her joy. She and her husband were married on a California beach, and she has a soft spot for chocolate and leopard print.

With Stacy’s warm and caring approach, you’ll feel like a part of the family at Faces Orthodontics. Her dedication to making your orthodontic experience memorable and incredible shines through in every interaction. Introducing Chrystal: Your Compassionate Treatment Coordinator

Meet Chrystal, a valued member of the Faces team since August 2021. Originally hailing from another state, she made Arizona her home in May 2016.

Chrystal’s journey with her loving husband, Damien, began back in 2007, and together, they have been building a beautiful life. Their shared love has brought them two wonderful children.

When Chrystal isn’t busy providing exceptional care as the treatment coordinator at our Scottsdale office, she finds solace and joy in spending quality time with her cherished family and friends. She’s always up for trying new things and exploring the creative realms of painting and drawing. For a dose of excitement, you’ll find her enthusiastically cheering on the athletes in the UFC.

In addition to her role as a treatment coordinator, Chrystal takes charge of organizing and running the digital laboratory for our aligner and retainer patients. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that every aspect of your treatment plan is executed flawlessly, providing you with the best possible results.
